OVERVIEW
Banyan Capital Partners, Inc. is an approved specialist finance brokerage firm that provides services in equipment leasing, commercial real estate loans as well as business finance to a diversified client base that includes small and medium sized corporations (SME). We were founded in 2004 and are headquartered in San Diego.
In every case, we strongly advocate for small and medium sized businesses within the lending industry. We seek bank-ability for all business owners and accept the responsibility to act on their behalf in order to help them receive "smart" money for their businesses. It is of vital importance that we always treat borrowed money for a client as a means to an end. The “end” for some businesses may be to pay off a loan while in many other cases, the “end” may be to become bankable and thus, be able to enter into an affordable, FDIC-insured bank loan.
We focus in three areas: Equipment Leasing, Commercial Real Estate Loans and SME Business Finance.
As brokers, we may perform many of the following duties including:
1) Making a Decision:
Our brokers will discuss your objectives, financial requirements and your expectations. We will also ask you to provide the key financial information about your equipment, business or investment property so that we can give you an indication of what may be achievable. If we can’t help we will explain why.
2) Obtaining Applications and other Business Information:
After that we shall obtain and review the appropriate credit or leasing applications needed for reviewing the transaction. This would include credit scores and business credit scores.
3) Draft a Financial Package:
Draft a Financial Package as required by the lending institutions. In many instances, this piece will become one of the most important marketing tools for raising the funds.
4) Approaching Lenders:
Once instructed, we present the summary proposal to the widest possible audience while maintaining strict confidentiality. We then negotiate directly with those lenders who have demonstrated an interest and are able to present the best rates, fees, loan to value ratios as well as terms and conditions that meet your financing needs.
5) Term Sheet Comparisons:
We then prepare and provide you with a table of Term Sheets comparing each lender’s indicative terms and conditions. You are then in a position to make an educated decision as to which lender you would like to move forward with.
6) Lender Introduction:
Once the preferred lender has been selected we will guide you through the lender’s specific internal processes. This may include a fact-to-face meeting, completion if needed of that lender’s application forms or the provision of additional information e.g. copies of bank statements.
7) Formal Offer:
Having received credit committee sanction the offer letter is then issued and presented to the client for their consideration and acceptance.
8) Quick and Successful Completion:
Our role, once the client has met the lender and/or accepted their offer of finance, is to marshal all parties and influence a quick and efficient completion. Communication between the lender and the legal teams is essential to a fast conclusion.
